A guide you can read
without signing up.
This notice describes the public guide and your choice about optional analytics. Updated 10 October 2026.
What information do we ask for?
No account is needed. There are no active forms or email subscriptions. We do not ask for health information. Fonts and page assets are served with the site.
Your choice about analytics
Google Analytics 4, delivered through Google Tag Manager, loads only if you choose “Allow analytics”. It measures visits, general device information, referring websites and clicks on published research links. We use this to understand which guide pages are useful. Declining does not limit access to the guide.
We remove query strings and fragments from page URLs sent to Google and send only the referring site's origin. Research-link events send the publisher's domain, not the full link. Automatic form and site-search tracking are off. Google signals, advertising personalisation and advertising storage are disabled.
Google Analytics uses first-party cookies after consent. We configure a six-month cookie expiry. Your analytics choice is saved in this browser's local storage for six months. Use “Analytics choices” in the footer to change it. Withdrawing stops further Google measurement and removes the Analytics cookies set by this site; it does not erase information already collected.
Google may process information outside Australia. Its privacy policy describes its handling of data. Do not include personal or health information in website addresses.
What happens when you open a source?
Research links take you to external publishers or reports. Those websites handle requests and data according to their own policies. Their services are not embedded into these pages.
What about hosting records?
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare receives technical request information, including IP addresses, when delivering and protecting the pages. Foundlab can view aggregate traffic statistics in Cloudflare. Cloudflare's privacy policy explains its handling of service data.
